With zero skill to block it's impossible to parry anything past the black forest. Because of this, hardcore mode is not something I recommend anyone never play. It's not that this game is hard it uses grinding as difficulty and it just becomes mind-numbingly tedious.

At the beginning of the game torches are the best weapon. Also when you click on rune stone, camera will turn towards the location of the boss, so you will know which way to go at least..

When entering a crypt, you stand on a raised platform. I have yet to see skeles get up onto tbat platform and have killed several using that to my advantage so long as they where not archers

Last week I was building a pretty meadows base for my brother, when a wild troll popped out of nowhere and smashed 2 of our buildings to bits. I wanted to feast on it's liver but killing it had to suffice... I realized that they can spawn right next to us at any given time. even if I have campfires and workbenches... I needed Wards. Then they stopped spawning in my f@cking bedroom, and finally... stayed outside our indestructible moat-wall combo with deathspike enhancments...

omg fu. this burns my computer away. i stopped playing vanilla with my wife and tried this. the performance was bad but ok and then went downhill. now iv seen much and dont want to cut it out so right now i have to find out what stays to make performance and myself happy.

If you limit yourself to whats available in the biome, please also only use the food available at that time. Fighting the elder with omelets and Misthare surpreme and major health potions is just not impressive

Ooze bombs are an excellent tool if you want to do this again later. For just some ooze and leather scraps, you can make AOE poison bombs that spread through walls and doors. You can clear caves and raids super easily that way.
